Mark Fairhurst. Photographer. "Art meets photography. Photography becomes art....."

For the first time ever, Zeitgeist Images opens Mark's work to the discerning collector.

Roughly translated, Zeitgeist (German) means "Spirit of the Time". Capturing that milli second in time and producing an image that moves the soul. An image you look into and forget about everything else.

Trained in the old style, starting with 10 x 8 plate cameras, Mark's career has spanned more than 30 years through to the digital age. His work is published around the globe.

This project injects a raw, energetic and visceral feel into his photographs.

In his Aviation images, never before has noise, the jet fuel grime and speed of aircraft display ever been "felt" in photographs.

His Culture images hark back to the earlier days of photography. Slight imperfection but beautiful.

If Surrealism is your area, images based on everyday items that initially make you have to look, think, and then appreciate them for what they are, will keep on making you look. Making you think. In particular, his images that feature 'parts' of famous buildings verge on the Biblical mixed with science fiction.
